Frequently Asked Questions

DO I NEED TO SEE A PROVIDER BEFORE ORDERING LABS?

Yes. Every lab order starts with a consultation so we can recommend tests that fit your goals, health history, and medications.

DOES INSURANCE COVER THESE LABS? CAN I USE MY HSA OR FSA?

Labs ordered through our lab partner are cash-pay and are not billed to or reimbursed by insurance. Many clients use an HSA or FSA card; eligibility depends on your plan, so check with your plan administrator.

DO I NEED TO FAST?

It depends on the panel. Your instructions arrive with your order, and we'll go over them at your consultation. Keep taking prescribed medications unless your provider tells you otherwise.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS TAKE?

Lab results typically take 5-7 business days after submission, depending on the panel. Some results take more than 10 business days after the lab receives your sample.

HOW WILL I GET MY RESULTS?

Results post to your secure patient portal, and our team receives them at the same time. We'll schedule a time to review them with you and talk through next steps.

CAN THESE LABS DIAGNOSE A CONDITION?

No. Lab results provide information that helps guide a personalized plan. They are not a diagnosis on their own and are not a substitute for care from your primary care provider. If something needs follow-up, we'll recommend you see your primary provider or a specialist.

CAN I SHARE MY RESULTS WITH MY OWN DOCTOR?

Yes. Your results belong to you. You can download them from your account and share them with your primary care provider.
